Independance Day Inspiration // C Fam Sisters

What to Wear With:

So I bought this skirt at target almost a year. It was my very first maxi skirt and is SUPER comfortable. Both colors in the skirt are colors I wear often. But I had a problem.

You see, I am extremly matchy-matchy which gives lots of compliments on how my outfits always "go together so well". But you see....the turquoise in the skirt is more greenish limiting the shirts I can actually wear. And the blue is so weird...almost purply looking with a normal navy.

What other colors can I wear with it?

I asked that exact question to a modest fashion group I'm in and this is what they said:

Coral, yellow, hot pink, purple, white, black and silver.

Do you have any suggestions and would you wear it with a bold color?

Modern Modesty February Closet Challenge

Sorry for the lack of posting. I am still mix and matching new outfits but I have not had the time or place to take pictures. So I thought I would share with you the February challenge Modern Modesty is doing.

Layering in Style // Inspiration

Layering is the best way to keep warm. Wear your favorite summer shirt with a undershirt or camisole underneath and a warm sweater.....you're good to go.

How to Wear a Belt

I've really been enjoying to add belts to my outfits....It really can give a simple outfit some class or give a waist in a more frumpy shirt. Bellow I've put together some ideas on how you can add a belt to your modest outfits: 

1. Tuck in a simple Tee, add a belt and you have a classy look.

2. Add a belt under a larger Sweater to give the waist more definition.....big belts are great for that!

3. Add a belt....just for style!

4. Add a belt over a long shirt

5. Add a belt over a cardigan to make a bigger sweater less frumpy.

6. You can even wear a belt over a light jacket....make it a part of your outfit.

7. Wear a belt over a simple dress. Either you can tie in a color you are wearing else wear, add a pop or just break up the boring simple color.

8. Add a belt to....match your shoes. A great idea for winter and you like to match perfectly.....I'm the only one? Oh....

Do you have any other ideas on how and why to wear belts.....other than to keep your skirt from falling? ;)

My 4th of July Outfit and some Inspiration

Happy Independence Day

to all my American friends

I love dressing red, white and blue on this day. I always enjoyed celebrating with my church family, sitting outside, grilling, drinking soda , smelling the water from the kiddo pools and waiting for the fire works from the army base that night.

Navy & Tan Polka dot // Inspiration

I just love today's inspiration outfit. The polka dot theme.....wonderful!! Who does not like polka dots! And even though the colors are simple the style is so great.....perfect for a dressed up casual time. The shoes are comfy to walk in longer and I can totally see me wearing something like this when I'm out an about, running errands.
