Pastel Stones

Got my pictures doneat the church building this time. I was looking at a challenge to get an idea what to wear and it was "solids" and this what I put together. The necklace I got a little while back for only around $5.....hard to find here in Germany. And the purse you see above one of my favorites.

Orange Gingham

I wore this outfit on my first day back in school after two weeks of late spring break.The day before was extremly hot so I chose this summery outfit. It was classy but comfy/casual. Well, actually Monday turned out to be rather cold but in the future hot school days....this will become a staple outfit.

The skirt I got at the thrift shop last week as well. I loved this orange color and the vintage-classy feel it has.

Orange is one of those colors....do you wear it?

Summerfield

I wore this dress on Sunday and love it. I bought it from a thrift shop last week. I am always looking for dresses and was SUPER happy when I came across this one. It was a little too short for my liking....but this was easily fixed with a slip. 

When I was thinking of a name for the post I thought of "Summer field". 

What would you call this dress?

Butterflies & Ladybugs

So before I go to the zoo today with my family I want to post yesterday's outfit. I love the classiest of this pencil skirt....and the happy yellow color! The day before yesterday I went to a thrift shop with my mom and found some great items including this scarf.

What do you think of the scarf? The bright colors....and it has butterflies and ladybugs on it....the only 2 bugs I can stand. :)

Purple-Dots

Sorry for the blurry photos.....but I thought I needed to finally share an outfit on here again! I wore this for church yesterday. I have not worn this purple skirt since last year and while looking around on what to wear with it....it just came together.

What Works Best? // Funny Video

So I had some fun today and tried most of the colors mentioned in yesterday's post. Hehehehe...to be honest I was surprised that some of these tops actually looked pretty good!

What to Wear With:

So I bought this skirt at target almost a year. It was my very first maxi skirt and is SUPER comfortable. Both colors in the skirt are colors I wear often. But I had a problem.

You see, I am extremly matchy-matchy which gives lots of compliments on how my outfits always "go together so well". But you see....the turquoise in the skirt is more greenish limiting the shirts I can actually wear. And the blue is so weird...almost purply looking with a normal navy.

What other colors can I wear with it?

I asked that exact question to a modest fashion group I'm in and this is what they said:

Coral, yellow, hot pink, purple, white, black and silver.

Do you have any suggestions and would you wear it with a bold color?

    

Polka Meet Green

I wore this super comfortable outfit last Thursday. It's my longest day at school and in the last hour I sit with the kids on the floor and work with them on their reading. The skirt was perfect for that. CHECK.

Later in the day I was going to a teen birthday party and I knew I would be eating too much and staying super late so my skirt needed to be stretchy, flexible and comfortable. CHECK.

And of course....super important to me....I wanted to look feminine and fashionable. I think this outfit does well. CHECK.

The simple Tee looks a little dressier with the necklace. And let's talk about this comfy belt....leather in the front and stretchy rubber in the back.

I wanted to wear something other than red and white with my navy polkadot skirt. I looked around on pinterest and love how this light green shirt looked so great!

Do you have an outfit that is adorable but SUPER comfortable?

Yellow Pencil

Remember this skirt. Also one of my recent finds. It was 5 sizes to big. That was eaily fixed with a sewing machine. With the zipper in the back and not pockets all I had to do is sew down the sides....and viola....a new pencil Skirt. I felt so "teachery" and girly wearing this outfit.

The combo with the navy polka dot blouse was pinterest inspired....I really liked it...and you?

A Little Bird Told Me

So I got a gift card to SIX for Easter and finally had time to do a little shopping. The were having a special deal where you buy 2 for 3 things....perfect! When I saw this blue, white, red scarf with birds on it it could not have screamed any louder! Those are my favorite colors....and birds....well I love birds.

The rest of the outfit was made to match the scarf....yeah....I pick out my outfits to match my accessories sometimes.

Doting Jacket

Wore this fun outfit yesterday. You will recognize the polka dot jacket from my finds. I really wanted to wear it and  came up with this outfit. I made the outfit pop with the peach T-shirt and I totally love the lacy flower that matches perfectly. It makes this more casual outfit more dressy.

Pink Linen

I wore this outfit yesterday. I sooo wanted to wear something from my new things.And this pink linen skirt is pretty much the only thing that already fits. It also is a little to big but comfortable and makes the skirt longer.

I love bright pinks and reds with navy blue. So that is what I did. I wore a navy striped Tee. I got it at walmart almost 4 years ago and still love it's casual feminine style. Since it is still a bit chilly in the morning and evening I wore this navy sweater and brought the hot pink up to my face with a pink felt rose.

While working on the photos I noticed that my necklace clasp was in the front....oh well....my hubby didn't see while taking these pictures of my.

And...if you're wondering where I am taking these pictures. It's at my church's new building. It's being renovated my Pastor's office being the farthest along with it's freshly painted walls. And since the whole front of the building has huge windows it is very bright and cheery....perfect picture place.

Well....off to continue my at home Italian date with honey. Just stopped by to give you my fun outfit.

Knitted Dress

This dress was gifted to last year.I really haven't worn it much because the dress is a little to short for me.....nothing that a cute lace slip can't fix.

I actually bought that lace just so I can sew it on a slip to extend some of my shorter skirts and dresses. Since the dress is knit it is very comfortable and easily is pulled over the knees while sitting making the dress more modest.

The days here have been very cool in the mornings and then gets very warm during the day. So I wore the short white sweater in the morning but had my lace T-shirt on for when it warmed up.

How long/short are you comfortable with?

Through the Fields

This Sunday I actually got to take a picture of my outfit outside. We were at my mom's and when we walked the dog we got some pictures of my pastel outfit. I love my pastels and you have seen this dress before....it's definitly a favorite of mine.....I have not worn it since Valentines Day.

I wore high heels to church....but quickly put my comfortable sparkle shoes to walk the dog. Never did get a picture of my heels....one day ladies I'll do a post of all my heels. lol

And I am totally loving the canola flowers blooming everywhere!!

Striped Woods

Last week I took a trip to the woods with my first grade. It was our first field trip and they all did very good. I am very proud of them and cannot wait to do a field trip again.

Saying all of this to tell you why I chose this outfit. It's a casual outfit for me....don't wear it often but was perfect for my trip. Did a bit of pattern mixing with my scarf and Tee. Wore my navy jacket in the morning until it started getting pretty hot. We've been having pretty warm weather the last few days....cooling down again though.

Royal Maxima

Wore this outfit yesterday....and while we were waiting to be picked up for church I had Patrick take a picture of my outfit.

I got this new maxi last week on sale....$16. I normally don't spend money on clothes but I want to get more solid maxis in my closet and this was a start. I have a tank top with that same royal blue which made two of my first graders ask if it was a dress....nope....it's a skirt. lol This maxi is VERY long though. I see myself cutting a few inches off in the future. I was getting stuck on my shoes, chairs and what not.

The blouse was gifted to me about 4 years ago.... The shoes I got last summer and I wore them ALL THE TIME....and they are still sooo comfortable. I wear a lot of white and these sanguine covered boat shoes are just cute and comfortable. Payless....my favorite shoe store.

Lime & Blue

Wore this Modern Modesty inspired outfit today. My lime skirt makes me feel very businesslike. I was gifted an unused ipad this past weekend from friends...so now you'll be able to see me entire outfits.

Still working on getting the right angles and editing on my ipad. ☺

Peach Flowers // Nail Art

So yesterday we were doing our nails at my friends house and one of my friends did this fun nail art for me..... I totally love how it turned out. At first I wanted to stick to red but then I remembered that I've been wearing red for the last 2 weeks and needed to change things up now. 

So my nails are all a bright peach which matches the flowers on my white ring finger. I really like the style of giving an accent to only the ring finger.

Summer Stripes in Spring Weather

This outfit is from last week....totally forgot about it! I am wearing the same shirt today though....only with a a beach skirt I made from a pair of pants yesterday.....tutorials coming. I promise. This summer I want to finally share all my different tutorials of my refashions!

Well today is the last day of Easter break and I need to work on my last lesson plans for next week. Can't believe I am almost done with college and will be graduating in exactly 2 weeks! :D
